Young Alumna Award

Nicole Evans '13 currently serves as the Assistant Director of Strategic Engagement at her alma mater, the University of Illinois. She began her professional career at the University of Illinois Foundation working with the board of directors. Nicole then went to work for a tech startup where she managed a team of fifteen employees. In her current role, she aids in the university-wide fundraising efforts for student scholarships as well as researching and writing stories for the advancement publication Storied. 

 

Nicole credits her leadership and people skills to her years as a softball player. While at Trinity, Nicole was part of the 2010 softball that earned 2nd in the state playoffs. Learning from the senior class as a freshman, she became a team leader and earned a scholarship to the University of Illinois. Due to the International Baccalaureate program, she started her collegiate academic career as a second-semester sophomore which enabled her to excel both on the field and classroom. Nicole earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees while at Illinois as well as Academic and Athletic All-America Honors and was inducted into the Illinois Hall of Fame 2023 Class.
