Elizabeth Moore Cummings ‘75 was born in Oak Park, as one of eight children of John and Jean Moore. Bess (along with her 3 sisters) attended Trinity High School. Bess graduated in 1975 and went on to receive a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from Elmhurst College and an MBA from Illinois Institute of Technology.
Bess currently holds the position of Chief Information Officer and Managing Director for The PrivateBank, a leading Commercial bank located in Chicago. She has worked for The PrivateBank for eight years and is a member of the Executive Committee. She previously served at JPMorgan Chase as Senior Vice President, Global Client Service and Implementation for 24 years. Her illustrious banking career began at First National Bank of Chicago serving in a variety of technology and service positions.
Throughout her career, Bess has been involved in countless charitable organizations. She currently serves as a member of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Board of Managers, Playworks Illinois, Board of Directors (a unique organization that works with schools in Chicago to bring in recess coaches that help students gain leadership skills and create a fun, energetic and inclusive recess environment), volunteers monthly at the Ronald McDonald House and serves on the Trinity High School, President’s Advisory Council.

Bess loves to spend time with her grown children, Jeanne and Mark, as well as her extended family.
