Jenny Guzon-Bae '88
Trinity High School is proud to highlight the incredible journey of one of our esteemed graduates, Jenny Guzon-Bae '88, who has recently achieved a significant milestone in her career.
After excelling in English class at Trinity High School, thanks to Ms. Golden and Sr. Angele, she pursued her passion for writing by obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Journalism at Columbia College. However, her career took a different turn when motherhood came calling in her early 20s. Despite putting her journalism aspirations on hold, she succeeded as a real estate agent in the North Suburbs.
Years later, after many diverse experiences, including a memorable stint on Survivor, Jenny discovered her true calling in teaching yoga. Drawing on her writing talent, she began crafting weekly themes (dharma talks) for her classes based on yoga wisdom and philosophy. Over two decades of instructing yoga, her students consistently encouraged her to compile her writings into a book.
In December 2023, Jenny realized this dream by publishing her first book, "The Yoga Within You: Living Beyond the Mat." This transformative guidebook delves into various aspects of life through the lens of yoga philosophy, offering profound insights and practical wisdom on topics such as relationships, stress, self-care, and purpose. Each chapter includes a "Pranayama Pause" to help readers find calm amidst the chaos of daily life.
While the book is rooted in yoga philosophy, it is accessible to all readers, regardless of their experience with the practice. It is a trusted companion for anyone seeking personal growth, inner peace, or a deeper understanding of themselves. Through "The Yoga Within You," readers are invited to explore the transformative power within each of us.
