Logo Significance
A
visible reflection of the Trinity, the logo symbolizes the
educational, spiritual and personal aspects of the school
and its students. The shield design embodies the Dominican
values of truth, compassion, justice, community, and partnership.
The
symbol, a stylized triquetra, comes from the Latin word meaning
three-cornered. Its roots are connected to the ancient with
the Celts of Gaul, Britain and Ireland using it to symbolize
their philosophy where everything had three distinct yet interlocking
levels: physical, mental and spiritual. Just as early Christians
used this symbol to represent the Trinity, so we unite ourselves
to God as Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier.
Within
this setting of faith, education and community, and through
a Dominican foundation, the young woman may achieve her fullest
potential and move forward to impact the society in which
she lives. Relationship, connectedness, and community are
of our essence.
The
color blue symbolizes Mary, patroness of Trinity, as well
as the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation of the Most Holy Rosary,
sponsor of Trinity High School. |
