Tsunami Relief Efforts - $2400 & Still Counting!
Art students and the Amnesty International Club are working together to help raise awareness and money for the victims of the Tsunami disaster. Members of the art club painted a 8' x 16' mural in the school's main hallway. The students were not given time in class to work on the project, so they spent three weeks during lunch hours completing the task. The mural, entitled "Our Arms Enfold You", was completed January 20th. Students pictured are seniors Carrie Schwebl, Amy Cade, Jessica Koenig , Katie Sleyko, Stephanie Kuecker and Rebecca Reyes and Jennifer Stachura.
"We're always telling our students to use their talent to make the world a better place." - Viki Siliunas Art Teacher
Members of the Amnesty International Club collected donations and held an out of school uniform day in January. Everyone agreed that all the work had been worth it.
