NIU grad students conduct portfolio reviews with Trinity IB students.
On Wednesday, March 6, Trinity's International Baccalaureate Art & Design students met Dr. Douglas Boughton and his Masters and Doctoral Art Education students from Northern Illinois University for an annual collaborative event. The NIU students conducted portfolio reviews with twelve Trinity IB Art and Design Seniors, who will be defending their topics and portfolios during oral examinations this spring. The evening culminated in a discussion on the philosophy and assessment methodology of the IB model of art instruction. Senior Katy Osowiec reflected on the experience: " I really enjoyed the critique because it helped prepared me for the exam. I now feel more confident about my work!" Both groups of students thoroughly enjoyed the evening
