INCOMING FRESHMAN SCHOLARS
We are especially proud to have with us a group of scholars from the Class of 2011, our incoming freshmen. These girls are here to accept their honors and scholarships earned through their scholastic achievement and leadership in their elementary schools.
Our Premier Dominican Scholarship is awarded to students who place highest on our entrance test and are awarded to:
Marita Farruggia - Roosevelt Middle School
Leighann Jandrists - St. Celestine School
The Honors Scholarship is given to 4 students who have a superior score on the entrance exam; recommendation of principal and junior high teachers and also a written essay. The Honors Scholarship goes to:
Jennifer Bell – Roosevelt Middle School
Laura Laszkiewicz - Divine Infant School
Rebecca Mendoza - St. Maria Goretti School
Theoni Richardson - Ascension School
The Sister Natalie-Sister Viviana Scholarship is awarded to students from our neighboring Dominican schools. The winners of these scholarships are in the top fifth of their graduating class, have displayed qualities of leadership, character, and service and have been recommended for this award by their principals and junior high teachers. This year's recipients of these scholarships are:
Rachael Joliffe-Blake – St. Giles School
Nancy Samatas – St. Vincent Ferrer School
Margarita Ryan – St. Luke School
The Catherine Kelly-Brady Scholarship is awarded to the daughter or grandaughter of an alumni who will be in the class of 20011 and is a graduate of a Catholic elementary school and shows academic promise. This year’s recipient is:
Milicia Kosanovic - St. Francis Borgia School
