IB Alumna, Class of 2004, awarded Fulbright Grant To Study Abroad
It gives us great pleasure to announce that Barbara Zukowski, Salutatorian, Class of 2004, has been awarded a Fulbright grant to do research in Poland next year. A student at Northwestern University majoring in Slavic Studies, Barbara will be researching the poet’s role in shaping cultural identity and politics in post-communist Poland. Proving that an IB education truly has global reaches, Barbara, who is fluent in Polish, credits her teachers at Trinity for giving her a solid foundation along with confidence in her abilities. She is very excited about studying abroad which brings the prospect of meeting famed poet, Wislawa Szymborska. We congratulate Barbara on her wonderful achievement and anxiously await details about the progress of her research.
